SME Bank of Cambodia has amended and relaxed some of the credit criteria for the TFSS

To promote and facilitate the 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐢𝐞𝐦 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐩 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞 more effectively, SME Bank of Cambodia has amended and relaxed some credit criteria as follows:

  • Increased loan size from USD 600,000 to unlimited.
  • Reduced annual interest rates:

☑️ 𝟒.𝟎𝟎% for KHR Lending.

☑️𝟓.𝟓𝟎% for USD Lending up to USD 1 million.

☑️𝟒.𝟓𝟎% for USD Lending over USD 1 million.

  • Increased the tenor up to 10 years.

 

This scheme aims to support targeted enterprises and businesses operating in Siem Reap (irrespective of their registration in Phnom Penh or any other province) that serve both local and international tourists, either directly or indirectly.

The scheme encompasses businesses in the following categories:

➡️ Businesses in hospitality and entertainment that cater to tourism purposes.

➡️ Businesses that supply products and services to support the tourism sector.

➡️ Businesses that develop the physical infrastructure facilitating the tourism sector.

On May 20,2024, in Tokyo, H.E Dr. PHAN Phalla, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economy and Finance and Chairman of the Board of Directors of SME Bank of Cambodia presided over and led the delegates that included the Board of Directors, and the senior management of the Bank. The delegation paid a visit to the Policy Research Institute (PRI), the Ministry of Finance, Japan; and the Micro Business and Individual Unit, Japan Finance Corporation (JFC-Micro).
The CDAS is extended to young entrepreneurs and SME businesses engaging in digital and automation. CDAS is envisaged to assist viable SMEs affected by the economic challenges during this period for better accessibility to financing at a reasonable cost.
